The best thing you can do to support your salon is to go book appointments and invest in beautiful-looking hair. And, to make it even easier, L’Oreal Professionnel has created a campaign subsidising the price of your salon colour services – a bit like Eat Out To Help Out; but for your hair.
The campaign, named French Balayage: Only In Salon, will see L’Oreal offer tens of thousands of subsidised coupons to customers booking a L’Oreal in-salon colour appointment.
The solidarity initiative which refunds £10 off of colour services is designed to drive support and help local salons to bounce-back this summer.
It’s been a difficult year for the salon industry, who, unlike the hospitality sector, were given very limited support. But alongside boosting revenue, salon service have been found to boost morale. A recent survey found that 68% of British adults feel a trip to the salon supports their wellbeing.
How does it work?
To get involved, you have to fill out an online form which sends you an email confirmation. Book your appointment at a participating UK or Ireland L’Oréal Professionnel salon between 1st July 2021 and 15th September 2021. Head to your appointment and save the receipt (it must include the date, salon address, and total value, showing that you spent £70 or more on at least one salon colour service). Visit the link in your confirmation email to fill in the redemption form and upload your receipt. Then, you should receive an email to confirm your claim has been validated, alongside a £10 refund.
What colour to choose?
As for which colour service to choose, the campaign’s name, references one of the top-growing colour trends of summer 2021. Searches for balayage are growing by 550% month-on-month and the delicate highlights are a prime example of beautiful colour that can only be achieved in the hands of the professional.
Balayage features pretty and subtle highlights blended through hair, however the latest trending update takes it, quite literally, back to its roots. French balayage promises an even softer, sexier, seamless finish with zero stripes, added luminosity and no brassiness. Given balayage originated in France and is French for “sweep”, it makes sense.
Elsewhere ’70s blonde, fiery copper and money-piece highlights are headlining as the major hair colours you need to know for 2021.
