Sudan Archives—the musical alias of violinist, singer, songwriter, and producer Brittney Denise Parks—has released a new song called “Home Maker.” It marks her first piece of original music in three years. Check out the Jocelyn Anquetil–directed video for the new song below.

“For me, homemaking is a service to mental health and coping with fear and isolation,” Sudan Archives explained in a statement. “This song is about the effort put into making a relationship work and giving love a place to live.”

Parks’ last album as Sudan Archives, Athena, came out in 2019. Since then, she has remixed tracks by Future Islands and Martin Kohlstedt, and performed a selection of original songs during her “Tiny Desk Concert” for NPR.
