The Peaky Blinders film is almost written – here’s what you need to know

“It’s impossible to say yet. But the film—yes,” he said. “There are so many people, so many great actors, that we are already, sort of, in conversation with for the film, and for whatever follows. But I think what we want to do is keep surprising people, and keep breaking new talent.”

Knight also spoke up about the importance of recruiting actors that matched the “working class” background of the characters.

In a previous interview with Metro.co.uk, he also hinted that Stephen Graham – who appeared in the TV series – could appear in the film.

“I’ve wanted him in [Peaky Blinders] for a long time and this series, we managed to get the schedules aligned,” Knight said. “I was writing a character, set in the Liverpool Docks and I knew, it could only be him,” he said. “I want to keep him as part of it, going forward.”

Is there a trailer for the Peaky Blinders movie?

Not yet, and we won’t for a while. But we will update this article with all the goods as soon as a trailer drops.

Will this be the final Peaky Blinders outing?

At the BFI London Film Festival, Stephen Knight confirmed that the film will “probably be the sort of the end of the road for Peaky Blinders as we know it.”

But that doesn’t mean it’ll definitely be its final outing. There has been talk of other spin-offs.

Anthony Byrne, a director of season six, hinted to The Sunday Times that there might be a spin-off of the younger Peaky Blinders, a new generation of flat caps and swagger.

He said: “Steve wants to do a spin-off show featuring younger Peakies, who we might see potentially coming to London and causing havoc and maybe getting involved with other gangs.”

Long live the Peaky f**kin’ Blinders.
