Whitney Houston is the subject of the forthcoming biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, which arrives in theaters on December 21. Its first trailer dropped today (September 15), and it features Stanley Tucci’s Clive Davis alongside Naomi Ackie as Houston. Watch below (via People).

I Wanna Dance With Somebody follows Kevin Macdonald’s 2018 documentary Whitney, which was nominated for a Best Music Film Grammy. Bohemian Rhapsody writer Anthony McCarten wrote the new feature. Houston was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, eight years after her accidental death in 2012.
