The Playlist, a Netflix show about the ascent of Spotify, is out now. Inspired by the book Spotify Untold, the fictionalized, Swedish, six-part series tells the story of how Daniel Ek (played Edvin Endre) and his partners tried to “challenge the status quo by evolving the way we can all listen to music,” according to Netflix. Watch a trailer below. Find the full series, directed by Per-Olav Sørensen, at Netflix.

Spotify Untold was written by Swedish investigative tech journalists Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud. Edvin Endre’s co-stars include Ulf Stenberg, Joel Lützow, Gizem Erdogan, Christian Hillborg, and the Swedish singer Janice Kamya Kavander. Each episode lasts 45 minutes.
