Selena Gomez And Hailey Bieber Are Officially Instagram Mutuals

Our watch has ended. Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have made the ultimate show of peace: They followed each other on Instagram.

After Selena called a ceasefire to the online harassment of Hailey that has been rampant since Eyebrowgate, The Daily Mail reported that both women followed each other on Instagram, seemingly putting a definitive end to their alleged years-long feud. Obviously, fans began keeping an eye out for further interactions between the two — and the first one is just as complicated as the rest of the pair’s history.

According to UsWeekly, fans noticed that Hailey liked Selena’s recent throwback bikini pic. “TBT to blondi sel,” she captioned the shot on March 26. “Summers coming! So many exciting things coming!” However, as of March 27, it does not appear that Bieber is one of the 19.3 million accounts that double-tapped the post. This either means that Bieber unliked the post or that the initial screenshots shared by fans were fake.

Either way, the pair are still among each other’s most recent followers. Selena Gomez recently became the first woman to hit 400 million followers (and growing) just one month after surpassing Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on the app. While she still doesn’t follow her ex-boyfriend and Hailey Bieber’s husband, Justin Bieber, it appears she also recently followed former One Direction member Zayn Malik

Instagram

On March 23, TikTok user Klarissa Garcia shared a video claiming her restaurant hostess friend sat Selena and Zayn for a date at a New York City hot spot. In screenshots of their text message exchange, the friend wrote, “Tell me why Selena Gomez and [Zayn] just walked into [restaurant redacted] hand in hand making out and I seated them.” An alleged eyewitness source later backed up the claim to Entertainment Tonight

While neither celeb has commented on the rumours, Selena is one of only 18 people Zayn follows on Instagram.

Ah, love and friendship in the digital age…
