Rihanna’s Maternity Looks Are Already Iconic (Obviously!)

While we never once doubted the power of Brand Rihanna, what we could have imagined her – or indeed anyone – doing is singlehandedly rebranding the whole concept of maternity wear. Suffice to say, Rihanna has basically chewed up and spat out the rule book when it comes to pregnancy fashion – which has typically revolved around stretchy fabrics and “flattering”, “bump skimming”, “easy-to-wear” pieces.

Instead she’s done it her own iconic way, and that involves some serious looks that make her growing bump pride of place.

Highlights include a 90s inspired green haltertop, *that* Dior Paris Fashion Week get-up (which involved a lingerie set worn under a lacy teddy with knee-high leather boots), and more recently an ICONIC lewk that accompanied her announcement of her second pregnancy with A$AP Rocky at the Super Bowl.

Rihanna’s latest look, however, may be one of our favourites yet.

Arriving at Pharrell Williams’ debut Louis Vuitton show in Paris with A$AP, the world’s coolest couple wore matching head-to-toe denim looks – including hats – with Rihanna’s jumpsuit unbuttoned to show off her matching bra and baby bump.

Undeniably one of our generation’s most major style icons, there was no doubt about it that the first-time-mum would bring her A-game to the maternity-wear scene, but even the most devoted members of her Navy couldn’t have anticipated just how lit that A-game would be.

From numerous Oscar’s 2023 looks to Simone Rocha tulle dress delights, we’ve taken a sartorial tour of Rihanna’s maternity looks.
