Thanks, Selena Gomez, for Posting a Makeup-Free Selfie I Can Actually Relate To — See Photo

A few days ago, Selena Gomez transformed into a fairy princess right in front of our eyes via a mirror selfie featuring an ethereal look, which included a gorgeous ponytail. Once again, she blessed us and the rest of her Instagram fans with a selfie, but in this one, the Only Murders in the Building actor looked rested, makeup-free, and just like me 99 percent of the time.

On August 6, she posted the close-up selfie on her Instagram Stories. She was lying in bed, tucked underneath a baby-blue fleece blanket, which she also held over her mouth and part of her nose. The Rare Beauty founder’s face was seemingly makeup-free, and her hair spread upward across her pillows. A portion of her dark hair covered the side of her face including part of her eye. Her brows, formed into light arches, looked as thick and dark as her hair.

Though her nails were mostly obscured by her fluffy blanket, I couldn’t help but glance at her nail polish, which looks like a buttery yellow colour. Maybe she will share another photo dedicated just to her manicure (if you’re reading this, Sel, please?).

I’m jealous of this selfie, primarily because of her thick brows and the fact that she’s resting with a fluffy blanket. Making my brow hair thicker is much harder than crawling into my own bed, which is something I do often. Hence why I mentioned that most of the time I look the way Gomez does in this selfie — a little sleepy and totally unbothered.

She looks like she just woke up and took this photo a few minutes after scrolling through her phone. Relatable. So like Selena Gomez in this selfie, I’ll be underneath my own white fleece blanket soon, probably scrolling on social media for way too long.
