Olivia Rodrigo has announced she will perform at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. Rodrigo is nominated for six awards, all for “Vampire”: Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing. The show is set to broadcast live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on September 12.

Rodrigo first appeared at the VMAs in 2021, performing her Sour hit “Good 4 U.” “Vampire” is the first of two singles Rodrigo has released from the forthcoming Guts. She released the second, “Bad Idea Right?” last month. The album is out in full this Friday, September 8.

Last year, Rodrigo performed “Torn” in London with Natalie Imbruglia, helped induct Alanis Morissette into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, joined Billy Joel on stage at Madison Square Garden for renditions of “Deja Vu” and “Uptown Girl,” and performed Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
