Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz & Juno Temple To Star In Gore Verbinski’s ‘Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die’ With Constantin Producing; North.Five.Six, CAA & Gersh Launching For EFM

EXCLUSIVE: The EFM packages aren’t done just yet. A good one has come together late in the day as we can reveal that Pirates Of The Caribbean director and Oscar winner Gore Verbinski has pulled together a strong cast for his fun-sounding next movie, titled Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.

Leading the cast are Oscar winner Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus), Michael Peña (The Martian), Emmy nominee Zazie Beetz (Joker), and BAFTA winner Juno Temple (Ted Lasso).

The project marks Verbinski’s return to directing after an eight-year absence.

German production and distribution stalwart Constantin Film, producers of the Resident Evil franchise, is behind the action-adventure film which centers on a “man from the future” (Rockwell) who arrives at a diner in Los Angeles where he must recruit the precise combination of disgruntled patrons (Richardson, Peña, Beetz, Temple) to join him on a one-night-six-block quest to save the world from the terminal threat of a rogue artificial intelligence.

Additional casting is underway with Denise Chamian (Top Gun: Maverick) overseeing. Filming is due to begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.

Script comes from Matthew Robinson (Love & Monsters). Robert Kulzer produces for Constantin. Verbinski (Blind Wink Productions), casting director Chamian, and Erwin Stoff and Oly Obst (3 Arts Entertainment) also serve as producers. Executive producers are Oliver Berben of Constantin, and George Parra and Matthew Robinson.

North.five.six. is onboard as executive producer and is handling the worldwide distribution rights and is launching sales at this week’s EFM in Berlin. CAA Media Finance and Gersh co-represent the film’s domestic distribution rights.

Verbinski is well known for the Pirates franchise, Rango, The Ring remake, The Lone Ranger, and his last movie A Cure For Wellness, released in 2016.

Sam Rockwell is repped by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment; Haley Lu Richardson by Gersh and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern; Michael Peña by CAA, Entertainment 360 and SGSBC; Zazie Beetz by WME, Entertainment 360 and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern; and Juno Temple by UTA, B-Side Management, Maison 2, and Lichter Grossman Nichols.
