Beyond revealing their names, Cameron and Benji are notoriously private when it comes to their family. But in 2020, Cameron opened up about the beauty of motherhood during an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in which she described her daughter as “the best thing that ever happened to both Benj and I.” She added how quickly her daughter was growing up, saying: “”Literally every single day, there’s just leaps and bounds … and she’s not the same baby that she was yesterday. Where was yesterday? Yesterday is literally gone, and today is a new day, and tomorrow will be a new day that she’s a completely different baby.”
More recently, the actor opened up about how becoming a mother has changed her perception of ageing, during an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow for GOOP’s podcast.
“It’s totally opened up, I’m excited,” Cameron shared. “I’ve got 50 or 60 years to go — I want to live to be 110, since I’ve got a young child. I think you have this amazing moment in your 40s where you appreciate who your parents are, and I want to have that moment with her — be there with her in her 40s.”
Cameron has taken a step back from acting over the past few years to concentrate on raising her daughter, but we can expect to see her opposite Jamie Foxx in Netflix‘s upcoming – and aptly-named – Back In Action.
Congratulations to Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden – and welcome to the world, Cardinal!
