Reformation’s Linen Collection Is Going Viral – And I Got To Try On The Entire Thing

My favourite piece turned out to be one I didn’t actually expect to like: the Roxy two-piece with pearl-button detailing and monochrome trims. You can’t see it here, but the linen “skirt” is actually a skort – which makes it so much more wearable than originally anticipated.

It was insanely comfortable, and I loved the fact that you get so many looks in one. Wear it “as is” for dinner on holiday, the top with a pair of jeans for dinner in the city, or the skort with a white tank top when you’re exploring a local town or village. Yes. Please.

Olina Linen Pant

Next up, the most versatile piece I tried: the Olina Linen Pant. These oatmeal, tie-waist linen trousers are Reformation’s hero pair of linen trousers each summer – available in an array of different colours and sizes, and crafted from 100% linen. They’re available in a petite length if the regular leg won’t work for you.

TBH, I probably needed to size up for a slightly more relaxed fit, but even when a little tighter, these were so comfortable. A staple for good reason, they’d look fab with an open linen shirt and bikini on holiday, or with a white t-shirt and leather jacket here in the UK. You could even dress them up with a blazer and heels for date night. I plan to.

Balia Linen Dress

At first glance, £300 for a linen dress felt a little steep – but the quality on this thing makes it so, so worth it. It manages to feel weighty and expensive yet breezy and wearable all at once – falling from a fitted bodice into a full, floaty skirt. I loved it. One thing to note, though: I found it to run large and a little too loose around my chest, so if you’re in-between sizes, I’d recommend sizing down.

Grace Linen Two Piece

For those who favour a pop of colour, Reformation’s Grace Linen two piece should be on your radar. Available to buy alongside the chicest longline linen pea coat you’ve ever seen in your life, this playful co-ord is another way to inject airy linen into your evening wardrobe.

The fashion set’s obsessed with cherry red has been impossible to ignore of late, as seen in Sabato De Sarno’s first Gucci collection, and at Rabanne – so I was immediately drawn to the colour. The skirt fit snug around the waist, but wasn’t restrictive around my hips – and the shell top had a flattering boat neckline that I just know I’ll repeatedly reach for.

Azalea Linen Top

Straight from the runways at Copenhagen Fashion Week, tie-front blouses are the micro summer tops trend dominating wardrobes this season – and the Azalea linen top is one of the cutest of them all. Fun, flirty and feminine, it’s also crafted from 100% linen, and has chunky capped sleeves with an elasticated back. I felt so comfortable in it.

Cora Linen Top

Another epic linen top, this time one which feels a little more modest and wearable. The Cora Linen top has been designed to tuck perfectly into high-waisted jeans (that, it did – just not pictured), and has capped sleeves which button together at the top of your back.

Lainey Linen Dress

Just when I thought I wasn’t spoiled for choice enough, I took a final glance down the in-fitting-room iPad (which, very fancily, allows you to order extra sizes and styles to your changing room without having to speak to a member of staff). I spotted the Lainey linen dress – and after wearing Ref’s green version in a similar cut to death last summer, I thought it rude not to give it a go.

I loved the unique, contrasting cups and straps which peak above the black linen bodice – and loved the relaxed, floaty fit. It has adjustable straps which I found to be really useful – I needed to shorten them to give myself enough coverage – and it’s crafted from 100% linen. No surprises.

Balia Linen Dress

I loved the black Balia linen dress so much that I couldn’t resist trying it on in white, too. Equally as fabulous, inspired by easy breezy cuts from aforementioned Aje and Toteme. I’d take this one home with me too, if I wasn’t so clumsy.
