Omar Apollo to Make Acting Debut in Luca Guadagnino’s New Film Queer

Apollo gets top-billing for the upcoming feature, starring alongside Daniel Craig, Jason Schwartzman, and Drew Starkey

Omar Apollo will make his acting debut in Luca Guadagnino’s forthcoming new movie Queer. Apollo is getting top-billing for the feature, which also stars Daniel Craig, Jason Schwartzman, Drew Starkey, Lesley Manville, David Lowery, and more. Queer will premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, which takes place August 28 to September 7.

Apollo briefly commented on his role on Instagram, writing, “1st movie with Luca, wow hot ass cast 🪽.”

Apollo released his second studio album, God Said No, earlier this summer. He is currently touring behind the LP on a string of dates that continues into October.
