With Married at First Sight Season 18 heading back to Chicago, the one successful couple from that season is back in the spotlight, Anthony D’Amico and Ashley Petta. Unfortunately for Ashley, critics slammed her over what they felt was a major style fail, and she didn’t bite her tongue clapping back, either.
Married At First Sight Season 18 Is Back In Chicago
Married at First Sight Season 18 is headed back to the Windy City, as Chicago marriage hopefuls put their faith in the experts to hopefully match them with their forever person. The last few seasons of MAFS have been duds, with very few couples staying together for the long haul.
Particularly after the awful Season 17 in Denver, many Married at First Sight fans hope that the franchise can redeem itself, with many hoping that a return to Chicago will be the winning formula that results in some successful marriages this time around.
MAFS: Ashley Petta And Anthony D’Amico Back In The Spotlight
As the only Married at First Sight couple still together from the initial season in Chicago, Anthony D’Amico and Ashley Petta are back in the spotlight, and a lot has changed for these two since they first got together as strangers on the show.
For one, they now have a family, something that would not be the case if they did not cross paths on the show all those years ago.
Unfortunately, it’s not all sunshine and roses, as Ashley was recently under fire from Married at First Sight fans over the outfit she chose to wear during the recent kickoff special. Viewers did not hold back when it came to what they thought of the outfit, and many made sure to let Ashley Petta know how they really felt about it.
Married At First Sight: Ashley Claps Back At Critics
Ashley recently shared another update online wearing the same outfit, for any Married at First Sight fans who missed it. She wore a black top with an animal print skirt and matching black boots. While she thought the look was fabulous, many followers felt it was a fashion fail.
- One critic said: “With those tall boots, your skirt shouldn’t be that short—above the knee. Shorter boots work best with short skirts—ie, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Your top should be less bulky with your short skirt. No arguing you are very beautiful—but the outfit you have on doesn’t flatter or enhance you or your figure.”
It turns out, Ashley Petta gave it right back to this critical follower, saying: “welp I feel great in it and that’s all that really matters.” Things didn’t end there, as she responded a second time with: “I didn’t have a problem with your “critique” I just don’t agree with it.. that’s fine. People are also entitled to an an opinion about your opinion it’s the same thing no?”
Ashley and Anthony may have been out of the spotlight for a while, but, it’s clear Ashley has not forgotten how to defend herself against online criticism, as the new season of MAFS from Chicago is on the horizon.
