The National, Remi Wolf, and More Perform at Kamala Harris Rally: Watch

The National, Remi Wolf, Gracie Abrams, and Mumford & Sons performed and spoke at a Kamala Harris rally in Wisconsin last night. Represented by Matt Berninger and Aaron Dessner and introduced by a comically enthusiastic voice on the PA, the National performed an acoustic set of “Bloodbuzz Ohio,” “I Need My Girl”—which Berninger said they wrote for their daughters but dedicated that night to Harris—and Obama-era anthem “Fake Empire.” Berninger concluded, “Get out there and vote. Elsewhere, Remi Wolf opened proceedings with “Cinderella,” telling the crowd that Vice President Harris “understands that the right to make decisions about our own bodies is fundamental. She’s committed to tackling big issues like climate change and, like me, she’s a girl from the Bay Area who loves to laugh and have fun.” Watch that from the 11:45 mark.

Abrams, taking a break from her opening slot on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, performed with her band and gave a speech addressing younger voters: “We’ve inherited a world that is struggling and it’s easy to feel disconnected and disillusioned,” she said. “Between the advent of social media in our childhoods and COVID and relentlessly targeted disinformation, we’ve been through some things. It’s easy to be discouraged, but we know better. We know that unless we vote and keep our democracy intact, there is nothing we will be able to do to fix it when it is our turn.” Watch her from 1:17:20.

And Mumford & Sons, who appear at the 1:41:10 mark, performed a set of “Little Lion Man,” “Awake My Soul,” and “I Will Wait.”
