Are Cole and Tiny Solo’s parents in Silo Season 2 Episode 5?
As of now, it is not confirmed whether Cole and Tiny are Solo’s parents in Silo Season 2 but hints suggest they could be.
As fans are aware, Juliette and Solo, whose real name is Jimmy, are now a team in the series. She learns that Solo is a lone survivor of the rebellion Silo 18 and had been isolated inside the vault for 34 years. At the end of the latest episode, Juliette finds something shocking related to Solo’s real identity.
She finds an employee directory, revealing that Cole Meyers was the last shadow of the IT Head. However, the most astonishing fact was Cole’s nickname being revealed as “Solo.” Further, Juliette learns about Trina Samuel, aka Tiny, a suit-room employee who the former believes might be the one who took the suit’s helmet. Later, she also pays a visit to Tiny’s apartment where she finds a picture of Tiny and Cole. The picture suggests a romantic connection between the two.
Cole’s nickname being “Solo” and his connection with Tiny strongly hint at them being Solo’s parents. In the book, it was revealed that Solo’s father was also the shadow of the IT head. Jimmy’s father hid him inside the vault while he set out to find his mother who got separated from Jimmy during the revolution. Further in the book, it is disclosed that intruders killed Jimmy’s parents. This was because Jimmy refused to reveal the access code to the vault.
Solo’s tragic backstory in the book reveals the real reason behind his eccentric behavior in the series. His parents’ death seemingly forced him to isolate himself from mankind and follow his father’s words to not let anyone in the vault. Now, it will be interesting to see whether Tiny and Cole will turn out to be Solo’s parents or not.
