Collin Gosselin’s New Book
Back in 2007 on TLC, it seemed like the Gosselin family had it all together. Jon and Kate worked together to parent their eight children, and the ups and downs of the family dynamic made for great television. However, behind the scenes, it seems things weren’t so happy within the family. Now, Collin Gosselin is writing a tell-all book to expose what was truly going on behind the scenes.
The book is called In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood and is a memoir that “is going to expose a lot,” he reveals. Apparently, he wants his story to help protect children better in the future. Not only that, but he wants to expose his mother for the true woman she is. “This book is going to reveal the truth, and people will finally see the real Kate Gosselin, and it’s not pretty,” he says.
Collin has dealt with a lot since his childhood, including being placed in a behavioral health facility when he was just twelve years old. He stayed there for two years before his dad, Jon, got custody of him. Needless to say, Collin is estranged from almost all of his family at this point.
How Does Kate Gosselin Feel?
Of course, knowing a book is coming out that is set to expose you and how you treated your children can’t be a good feeling. As it turns out, Kate is feeling the pressures. According to a source, she is very nervous about the book ahead of the launch OK! Magazine reports.
“There is no doubt Kate is nervous this book is about to hit,” the source reveals. “Kate doesn’t want anyone in the family to talk about their past. She considers any of the children who talk in the family as traitors.”
Meanwhile, Collin is very calm ahead of his books release. When asked if he is nervous about it, he responds with “I’m not the one that should be nervous.”
He continues to say “We’re putting it all out there, let’s just say that.”
It sounds like there could be some really detrimental details coming out about the children’s childhood.
