If you’re in the mood for a makeup remix, you’ve come to the right place. One beauty update that we keep seeing everywhere is pastel liner and it is hands down P.E.R.F.E.C.T for spring. Especially if you want to inject some colour into your everyday glam (big yep).
We love how easy it is to implement in your routine and if you’re already a liner girl, it won’t even add any time to your makeup. We love how such a teensy detail can bring such a huge mood boost to our aesthetic. And we love how wearable it is. As we’ve seen with the colourful French manis we’ve been spotting, sticking to the same shape (like a cat eye), but mixing up the colour helps to keep things classic and make them fresh at the same time. But, we’re also always here for a more modern graphic or floating liner situation.
As for which shade to choose, we’ve seen zingy greens, dreamy lilacs, cutesy pinks, mellow blues and peppy yellows all offering a little extra edge to eyeliner. Or, if you want to go even bolder, we love bright neons, too.
Formula-wise, the good news is there’s loads of brands jumping on board to serve up pretty colourful shades. H&M’s Liquid Liners come in 11 stunning shades from trad black, to pistachio green, rose pink, lavender and cloud blue. Stila’s Stay All Day Dual-Ended Liquid Eye Liners come in punchy orange, periwinkle blue and mojito green. Barry M’s Hi-Vis Liquid Liners are a breeze to apply and Empower (a sweet lilac) is our fave.
Lottie London’s Colour Cloud Longwear Matte Liquid Eyeshadow are technically an eyeshadow (like the name suggests) but they double up as awesome liquid liners. And Hailey Bieber’s makeup artist, Mary Phillips, used the Danessa Myricks Colorfix pigment (we’re betting it was Bubble Gum) to create Hailey’s cute pastel pink wing recently.
