Disenchanted: Here’s your first look at Amy Adams & Patrick Dempsey on the set of the Enchanted sequel

It’s been 15 years since Enchanted brightened up all our lives, and finally, the sequel – Disenchanted – appears to be well underway. That’s right, Giselle and Co are officially back! And honestly? They can’t come soon enough.

There have been rumours of an Enchanted sequel swirling about for years, but this time we have some solid proof that it’s actually happening. And that both Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey will be reprising their beloved roles! The pair were spotted filming on location in Buckinghamshire village – is that a pram we spy?

The sequel was confirmed by Disney+ back in December 2020 and will hopefully be on our screens in mid-2022, which is ~soon~.

Here’s everything we know about Disney+’s Disenchanted so far…

What will Disenchanted be about?

Let’s recap where Enchanted left off, shall we? The first film saw Giselle thrust from the animated fairytale land of Andalasia into the cold streets of Manhattan, where she bumps into a divorce lawyer, Robert Phillip (Patrick Dempsey).

Although Giselle believes her true love is Prince Edward (James Marsden), she soon falls head-over-heels for Robert and – after plenty of mishaps – the pair finally realise their true feelings for one another. And they lived happily ever after…or not.

Disenchanted will be set 15 years after Enchanted, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that Giselle, Robert and Morgan (Robert’s daughter with his ex-girlfriend Nancy Tremaine, AKA Idina Menzel) will relocate to the suburb of Monroeville, where they will “face the challenges of a new home and re-discover the true meaning of happily ever after.”

Also, given the photo evidence of Giselle pushing a pram, might we assume that she and Robert have had a child together? Or are we simply being teased by the producers? It’s too early to say.
