Golden Globe 2021 nominations: see the list in full, with lots of nods to The Crown, The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Mank

Awards season is well and truly on the horizon in Hollywood with the Golden Globe 2021 nominations announced today.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Taraji P Henson are hosting the virtual announcement event today, while the 78th Golden Globes themselves will be broadcast from New York and Los Angeles for the very first time on 28th February.

Iconic comedy duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host the awards – Poehler from the ceremony’s usual spot in Beverly Hills; Fey from New York’s Rainbow Room private event space in the Rockefeller Centre.

Just like with the Critics’ Choice Awards nominations, The Crown has received plenty of nods for this year’s Golden Globes, as has Netflix’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 and Mank. Chadwick Boseman has also received a posthumous nomination and, as expected, Vanessa Kirby is up for the Best Actress (Movie) gong for her incredible performance in Pieces of a Woman.

Schitt’s Creek is up for a lot of awards in the comedy categories, which also has some (pretty unexpected) nods to Emily In Paris.

TV writer Norman Lear will receive the Carol Burnett Award for his lifetime of achievement, and Jane Fonda will receive the Cecil B. deMille Award for her outstanding contributions to the industry.

Here’s the list of Golden Globe nominations 2021 in full…
