Justin Timberlake Arrested on Drink Driving-Related Charges

Justin Timberlake was arrested in New York on Monday evening on drink driving-related charges, Newsday has reported – with confirmation from local Justice Court representatives.

Timberlake, 43, is due to be arraigned in the town’s court Tuesday. Authorities have not yet released the specific charges on which the singer was arrested, but did confirm to the paper that it was for driving under the influence.

Representatives for Timberlake did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

According to TMZ, Timberlake met friends for dinner at a hotel in Sag Harbor, New York on Monday evening, then was pulled over shortly after beginning to drive home for the night, around 12:30am.

Justin Timberlake is in the midst of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, with the next show scheduled for Friday in Chicago – and stops in New York City next week. The former *NSYNC frontman released his latest solo album in March. In 2023, ex-girlfriend Britney Spears released her bombshell memoir, The Woman In Me, in which she shared anecdotes about Timberlake breaking up with her over text message, cheating on her, and saying he “didn’t want to be a father” when Spears became pregnant unexpectedly, leading to her get an abortion.

Timberlake did not respond formally to Spears’ memoir, but reportedly during a January concert, while introducing his 2002 song Cry Me a River – an essential piece of the Timberlake-Spears mythology – declared: “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to absolutely f*cking nobody.”

GLAMOUR UK has reached out to Justin’s representatives for comment.
