Kylie Jenner Says Seeing Her Natural Features on Her Kids’ Faces Made Her More Confident

Kylie Jenner has a brand-new beauty philosophy. In a new interview, the 27-year-old reflected on how seeing features on the faces of her five-year-old daughter, Stormi, and one-year-old son, Aire Webster, has made her more comfortable in her own skin.

Jenner, who is reportedly dating Timothée Chalamet (which isn’t pertinent to this story but is a thing that is happening), opened up about how motherhood has impacted her thoughts on beauty, which is, of course, her job as the founder of Kylie Cosmetics. “[Motherhood has] made me love myself more. I see my features in my daughter and my son now, but you know, my daughter looks like me. I get to see my beauty in her, and it’s made me love myself more for sure,” she told Hommegirls in a recent cover interview.

Without addressing cosmetic procedures specifically, Kylie Jenner did say that her beauty advice to daughter Stormi would be to remind her that “she’s perfect the way that she is,” suggesting an attitude of self-acceptance that is perhaps at odds with the eternal-youth-at-any-cost ethos so entwined with her Kardashian-Jenner relatives.

Later, Jenner said that for her current makeup routine, “I think less is more. I’ve really gotten down my full look, it’s still the same look but way less. I’m just embracing my natural beauty, my freckles, and my bushy brows.”

Despite her new perspective, she doesn’t regret her famous lip fillers. “I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face and that I was some insecure person, and I really wasn’t,” she said. “Yeah, I love full lips and wanted full lips, but growing up, I was always the most confident person in the room. I was the girl performing for everyone. I had my one lip insecurity thing, so I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t regret it. But I always thought I was cute.”
