In the interview, she credited Byredo’s £59 Burning Rose Candle as the reason her home smells so damn good. It’s now a permanent fixture in the European luxury fragrance brand’s candle collection, after being so well received as a limited edition.

“I have several of these all over my home — and my movie trailers,” she said. “Long after I’ve put the candle out, the scent lingers around and upon re-entering the room it has a lovely floral touch that is very pleasant.”

The candle is available to buy in various sizes from Liberty London, Selfridges and Mr. Potrer, and according to the product description, is a scent which revels in the “dark side of the rose”.

The traditional, reminiscent-of-your-grandma rose scent has been modernised by notes of leather and dark woods – of the birch and ebony variety, to be exact. Base notes of violet give the scent a welcome lift.

The 240g candle has a burning time of 60 hours (!), and the white wax candle is housed in a black mouth-blown glass votive which will look endlessly stylish on your bedside table. Race ya?
