It feels like Taylor Swift has been promoting Reputation (Taylor’s Version) through her wardrobe for months, but the pop star hasn’t technically announced that it’s up next.
While some fans already suspected that Swift was saving the big announcement for the 2024 Grammy Awards, her latest social media update has even more Swifties convinced. On February 4, fans noticed that the 34-year-old “Anti-Hero” singer changed her profile photo on Instagram to a black and white image à la her original Reputation album art, though the picture itself is from the Midnights era.
“Y’all this is an Easter egg,” TikTok user Jake Deyton said in one video, referring to some Swifties’ reputation (hah) for believing theories based on basically nothing (guilty). “This a Taylor Swift Easter egg. This is clear as day.”

“The eggs are actually egging this time,” one fan replied in the comments section, while another user wrote, “This, combined with her inner circle also changing their PFPs, confirms it!! It’s happening!!!
Last month, Swifties noticed that the pop star’s NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce had switched his own Instagram profile picture to a black-and-white image, sparking rumours that he was getting in on the Reputation Easter egg hunt. A number of Swift’s closest friends – including Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Jack Antonoff, and Keleigh Teller – were also sporting similar avatars, though some of them were already in place.
This year, Taylor Swift is nominated for six Grammys, including album of the year and best pop vocal album for Midnights; as well as best pop solo performance, song of the year, and record of the year for her song, “Anti-Hero.” Her last nomination is for best pop duo/group performance for the “Karma” remix featuring Ice Spice.
“Rep TV announcement tonight during her AOTY speech would be kinda gag of the century,” one Swift fan wrote on X.com. Swift has already won album of the year three times for Fearless, 1989, and Folklore. Should she win again, she will have more AOTY awards than any other artist (she’s currently tied with Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Paul Simon).

Though Taylor Swift is currently slated to attend the awards, Billboard has reported that she will not be performing due to her Tokyo Eras Tour schedule following the big night. However, the executive producer for the Grammy Awards show recently hinted at possible changes to the schedule. “We’ve had a lot of last-minute things come in on the show,” Raj Kapoor told Rolling Stone on February 1. “Sometimes they’ve happened days before, and yeah, we’re always open to the idea.”
