We were the first to try these brand new Vieve launch and here are our honest thoughts

I haven’t been this impressed with a lipstick in a long time. On application of Vieve’s satin slip lipstick I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve found hybrid formulas can sometimes be a little drying, but applying this I had to double check it had even gone on because it applied that smoothly.

I used the shade Kink and loved the subtle brownish nude finish it gave, with it blending effortlessly for a super silky end result that felt incredibly comfortable on. It’s the type of lipstick you feel like you could get away with having on all day without having to worry too much about smudging or top ups. This is the perfect day to night shade and I will absolutely be keeping this one on repeat and trialling it in combination with some brown lip liner for a more elevated look. Obsessed.

Shade: Silk Sheets

I looove myself a quality satin lipstick. Unlike the matte formulations, the consistency of satin lipsticks feels way smoother on the lips and doesn’t leave them too dry throughout the day. And as an avid fan of all things Vieve, I was beyond excited to try out the brand’s new lipstick range. I opted for the colour Silk Sheets, which is a very flattering mauve-y nude. At first glance, I was really impressed by the packaging and its luxurious yet minimalistic feel.

The shape of the lipstick itself was perfect to achieve precise application, the formula applied like butter and the pigment was out of this world. The best part? It doesn’t even feel like I’m wearing any lipstick whatsoever, making it a great choice for the summer. Easily one of the best lipsticks I’ve tried this year.
