Where are the Married At First Sight Australia cast now?

Married At First Sight Australia has had us all at the edge of our seats with weeks of endless drama and hilarious Twitter reactions getting us through lockdown 3.0.

The sixth season of the show, which aired in Australia back in 2019, has only just made its way to the UK and is currently on E4. That means all the action we’re seeing now happened two years ago which makes us wonder, what is the cast up to now? And more importantly, how many of the 13 couples are actually still together? If it’s anything like Love Island, won’t be holding our breath for many long-lasting love stories, though we do wish life was a romcom sometimes.

*SPOILER ALERT*

But we did a bit of digging to find out what the Married At First Sight Australia couples are all up to now, and were pleasantly surprised to find out that a few of our favourites are actually still going strong… others, not so much. Take a look below…

Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant

Jules and Cam were one of the most popular couples of the season and it looks like their connection was far stronger than an on-screen romance. The couple, who got engaged on the show when Cam got down on one knee during their final vows, are now only happily married and share a baby boy named Oliver. Yep, the two very fittingly got married on TV, starring in a special episode of Aussie TV show A Current Affair where they let fans watch their big day.

Jessika Power and Mick Gould

On the show, we saw Jessica with fellow contestant Dan Webb behind husband Mick’s back as things weren’t didn’t work between them. Jessica and Dan then continued as a separate couple. However, the two have since split up following cheating rumours.

Dan told Yahoo Lifestyle: “Me and Jess have split, let’s get that straight. We have broken up. There’s allegations coming out that we’re still together. She’s saying we’re still together. We are not together.

“There’s no way I am going to be dating that girl after the rumours and the stuff that’s been sent to me over the past 24 to 48 hours.”

Meanwhile, who was linked to both co-star Lauren Huntriss and Dan’s ex-wife Tamara Joy after the show, is now with former Bachelor star Kayla Gray. The couple have been together since September 2019.

Nic Jovanović and Cyrell Paule

It’s safe to say Nic and Cyrell weren’t the most blissful match. The couple brought plenty of drama to the season and eventually broke up on the show – a decision we all saw coming. Later in the season, things took a heartbreaking turn when Nic found out his testicular cancer had returned and had to undergo chemotherapy before having his testicle removed. However, fast forward to now and he is in great health.

“I feel I have grown so much as a person since then,” he told The Sun. I have been able to watch the season and see how I used to handle situations – and now I am better for it and will take on everything I learnt throughout my experience.”

Meanwhile Cyrell has since found love with Love Island Australia star Eden Dally and in February 2020, she gave birth to their first son, Boston.

Dan Webb and Tamara Jo

Tamara is currently single but back in 2019, she briefly dated Love Island‘s Ashley Ienco. According to her Instagram, she is a full time Influencer living in Queensland.

Mike Gunner and Heidi Latcham

Sadly, Mike and Heidi announced their split at the Married At First Sight Australia Reunion, which has yet to air on E4 so stay tuned.

Speaking on the show, Mike said: “Right after the final vows, Heidi and I went back to the Gold Coast together but it didn’t take long and the wheels started coming off.”

Heidi added: “It was great for like two days and then it just went to s***. And then I haven’t spoken to him since.”

After his break up with Heidi, Mike went to to date model Jessica Williamson but is currently single. Heidi, who was a bridesmaid at Jules and Cam’s wedding, is also single.

Melissa Lucarelli and Dino Hira

Viewers will remember that Melissa and Dino broke up and became the third couple to leave the show. Mel is now an Influencer and has admitted that she is looking for love online. “True love waits for no one and if I want to meet someone during corona times, then desperate times calls for desperate measures,” she wrote in her column for Australian publication, The Latch.

As for Dino, he has moved to Hong Kong where he has met a new woman. He’s also grown out a beard and looks like a completely new man. Good for him!

Ning Surasiang and Mark Scriven

One of the most dramatic moments in the season came from Ning and Mark. We were all (including Ning) taken aback when Mark ended things with his wife the final ceremony, leaving her completely blindsided. “Just Stop. This is bullshit,” she said, shocked by the news. The two have since cooled down and consider one another friends – we know, hard to believe!

As for love, Ning is currently with new boyfriend, Kane Micallef, while Mark has been dating The Block star Bianca Chatfield for almost
two years.

Sam Ball and Elizabeth Sobinoff

Now this was a big old mess. Sam and Elizabeth (Lizzie) broke up after Sam was caught cheating with co-star Ines Bašić who was married to Bronson Norrish. Both couples then left the show half way through but in a shock twist, Lizzie returned to the show with a complete makeover.

This time, she was matched with footballer Seb Guilhaus and was determined to make it work. However, the couple were forced to put their plans of moving in together on hold due to the pandemic and after they finally reunited in June last year, their relationship only lasted six months.

Meanwhile, since leaving the show Sam has explained his side of the story saying he never actually cheated on Lizzie with Ines and that the whole thing was staged. In a long Instagram rant, he admitted: “They [the producers] pulled me into a black room and asked me to do the Ines thing.
They got Ines to DM me on the phone, that was all staged.”

He continued: “The whole Ines thing started to happen. I throw her on the bed on that date night, not even five seconds later producers come in, de-mic you all that. I didn’t sleep with Ines that night, it didn’t happen. I didn’t sleep with anyone on the show. Mark my words.”

Ines Bašić and Bronson Norrish

Ines and Bronson left the show before the finale going their separate ways. Bronson is now in a relationship with girlfriend Hayley Wallis, meanwhile Ines is single.

Like Sam, she took to social media to clear her name claiming the show falsely portrayed her as a villain. “The whole purpose of a TV show – if you do the math – networks have money to make or they can’t run,” she said during an Instagram Q&A. “We are puppets filming a TV show for your entertainment.”

She also revealed that Sam asked if she wanted to pursue something with him outside of the show, to which she declined.

Lauren Huntriss and Matthew Bennett

Lauren and Matthew became a talking point among viewers when Matthew admitted that he was virgin. The couple didn’t last long and became the first to leave the experiment after Matthew admitted he wasn’t attracted to Lauren.

He later got a new girlfriend Annabel, and the two threw his wedding ring in a volcano. Way to make a statement!

Speaking to Aussie publication, 9Honey Celebrity, Lauren said: “After Matt embarrassed me in front of everyone at the dinner party by saying he wasn’t attracted to me, I knew it would not be fair on myself or him to prolong the experiment.”

Susie Bradley and Billy Vincent

Susie and Billy broke up white early on the show – it was a teary event as Susie made Billy cry by calling him out on his alleged lies. Billy is currently still single, while Susie is dating rugby player Todd Carney, who announced on social media that the couple are expecting their first child together in March. Congratulations to them!

Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli

Martha and Michael exchanged vows at the final ceremony and have been together ever since. However, things haven’t been easy for the couple since the show came out.

Talking on Instagram, Michael said: “Fake articles, rumours and bulls**t DMs were hard to deal with and probably caused a few arguments in the early days. But we would always talk them through and move on. Now we’re at a point where we give zero f**ks about what’s written.”

The couple now seem solid and even moved in together last year.
