You’ve Never Seen Nails This Short on Kylie Jenner — See Photos

If you had to choose between a life of long or short nails, which would you pick? Without any second guesses, I would normally have said that Kylie Jenner would choose lengthy manicures. But that’s all changed over the past 18 months. I now have a good feeling that she would disagree with me and choose short tips instead based on her latest set: a bright red, square-shaped set that is going straight onto our autumn nail inspo board.

On October 8, Los Angeles-based nail artist Zola Ganzorigt shared a few pictures of Kylie Jenner‘s nails in a photo dump of celebrity manicures she recently created. The first two photos were dedicated to Kylie’s bright red manicure.

The look was simple but chic. Zola filed the reality TV star’s nails into a square shape that barely jutted out past her fingertips. The artist then painted each nail with Pla Gel Polish in Messy Business, which she noted in the caption. Unfortunately, it’s only available in Canada but both Dior Vernis Nail Polish in 999 Rouge and Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in Double Decker Red are a close colour match and available in the UK.

Back in the day, we rarely caught Kylie without a lengthy set of nails. But since April 2022, she’s been rocking short manicures more and more, notably when she married two of the biggest nail trends – milk bath nails and glazed donut manicure – together in a single manicure on squared-off nails.

In fact, the last we saw her with long nails this year was in July when she shared a photo dump that featured her nude almond manicure.

But after that, she stuck to short nails in nude, baby pink, milky white, or bright red shades like the manicure above. Given her recent manicures, it’s fair to assume that a classic vibrant red hue is one of her favourite nail polish colours.

Now we’re wondering what other red nail polishes, if any, she loves and if she’ll dip into darker red hues with winter approaching.
