Amy Adams Says Playing Taylor Swift’s Publicist ‘Would Be Amazing’

Amy Adams recently revealed that she would be up to play the role of Taylor Swift‘s publicist, Tree Paine, in her biopic.

Trina Paine, also known as Tree Paine, has been a well-known supporter of Swift since 2014. Taylor Swift became the first client for Paine and the two have been working together since then.

Amy Adams recently appeared on The Tonight Show for a chat, where she told host Jimmy Fallon that she will be ready to portray the role of Tree Paine if a biopic ever gets made.

As the interview started, Fallon showed a tweet made by an X (formerly Twitter) user named Hunter Harris which read, “amy adams will win an oscar for tree paine’s biopic,” earning cheers from the audience. He asked Adams’ opinion on the fan request and said, “That would be amazing. If it got me closer to Taylor, then that would be fun.”

Amy Adams further disclosed how she attended one of the shows of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with her friend and that turned her into a diehard fan of the singer. The actress told Fallon, “I mean, I’ve always liked her music and appreciated her. And then I went to the Eras Tour. A friend of mine had a ticket. And then I became, like, a Swiftie at 50. So I’m like a shifty Swiftie at 50.”

Adams also recalled the time she first met Taylor Swift at the after-party of an award show. The actress revealed she got the opportunity to sing karaoke with Swift and they both sang the song “What’s Going On.”

Taylor Swift is currently preparing to kick off the last leg of her year-long Eras Tour in Vancouver on December 6, 2024.
