Exclusive Trailer For Spanish Pic ‘The Elderly’, Premiering At Montreal Fantasia International Film Festival

EXCLUSIVE: Here’s a trailer for The Elderly, the Spanish pic premiering this weekend at the Montreal Fantasia International Film Festival.

The film starts with Rosa committing suicide, becoming the catalyst for the progressive physical and mental deterioration of Manuel, her elderly husband. Mario, his son, decides to bring him to live with his family, despite the fierce opposition of his new wife, who’s expecting a baby. The family’s new living situation will continue to go rapidly downhill, until it literally becomes a matter of life and death, leading to a finale taking place on the hottest night of the century.

Directors are Gonzalez Gomez Fernando and Cerezo Raul, their second feature, and pic stars Zorion Eguileor (The Platform), Gustavo Salmeron, Paula Gallego and Irene Anula. Writers are Trigales Javier, Cerezo Raul and Sanchez Trigos Ruben producer is Jose Luis Rancaño. Sales agent is Filmax.

The film will have its premiere tomorrow at Montreal’s Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal in the Official Competition (Cheval Noir).
