Republic Pictures’ Dark Comedy ‘Twinless’ Adds ‘Abbott Elementary’s Chis Perfetti, François Arnaud & More To Cast

EXCLUSIVE: Tasha Smith (Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Chis Perfetti (Abbott Elementary), Francois Arnaud (Yellowjackets), Susan Park (Shining Vale) and Cree (Turtles All the Way Down) are the newest additions to the cast of Twinless, the dark comedy that James Sweeney wrote and is directing for Republic Pictures.

Details as to the newcomers’ roles are under wraps. As previously announced, Dylan O’Brien, Aisling Franciosi, Lauren Graham and Sweeney will also star in the film, which follows two young men who strike up an unlikely bromance after meeting in a twin bereavement support group.

David Permut and Sweeney are producing, with O’Brien and Miky Lee serving exec producing. Three Point Capital is financing the pic with Ali Jazayeri, David Gendron and Liz Destro also serving as executive producers. Alex Astrachan, Director of Development at Permut Presentations, is co-producer. Republic Pictures has worldwide rights to the film.

Recently appearing in Bad Boys: Ride or Die, with Lee Daniels’ The Deliverance coming up for release on Netflix on August 30, Smith’s also been seen in films like Dolemite Is My Name and Couples Retreat, as well as series like Survival of the Thickest, First Wives Club, and Empire.

Breaking out with his role as Jacob Hill on ABC’s Abbott Elementary, which returns for its fourth season on October 9, Perfetti’s also been seen on The Resident, In the Dark, The Night Of, Looking and other series. He’s also appeared in the Oscar-winning drama Sound of Metal, as well as the Oscar-shortlisted short film The Anne Frank Gift Shop.

Arnaud is best known for his work on series like Yellowjackets, Plan B, Surface, The Moodys, Blindspot, Midnight, Texas, UnREAL and The Borgias, among others.

In film, Park’s credits include Always Be My Maybe, Brie Larson’s Unicorn Store, and 2016’s Ghostbusters. TV credits include High Desert, Shining Vale, Snowpiercer, Briarpatch, Vice Principals and Fresh Off the Boat, among many others.

Cree recently starred in Max’s adaptation of the John Green novel Turtles All the Way Down. Additionally, she’s been seen on ABC’s Big Sky, Max’s And Just Like That…, and Netflix’s Mr. Iglesias.
