A new virtual tribute concert in honor of late singer-songwriter Adam Schlesinger has been announced. Organized by his Fountains of Wayne bandmate Jody Porter, the lineup includes Courtney Love, Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba, Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees, Sean Ono Lennon, Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha, Patrick Carney from the Black Keys, and many more.
Adam Schlesinger, A Music Celebration, Virtual Show will take place May 5 at 8 p.m. ET. Tickets for the stream are available now; all proceeds will benefit MusiCares and the Bowery Electric, the currently-shuttered Manhattan venue where the concert was filmed. Find the full lineup below and find tickets here.
Schlesinger died last April due to complications from COVID-19. After his passing, Fountains of Wayne reunited for a one-off live performance with Sharon Van Etten. Last summer, artists including Charly Bliss, Jeff Rosenstock, and Sad13 covered Schlesinger for the tribute album Saving for a Custom Van.
