Governors Ball 2021 Dates Announced

The dates for the 2021 Governors Ball Music Festival have been announced. The New York festival is currently scheduled to take place from September 24-26. According to the announcement, the festival will have a new lineup for 2021.

On an FAQ page, Governors Ball organizers said they remain “hopeful” that the 2021 event will happen as COVID-19 vaccines are rolled out. “Rest assured that safety is our first priority and we are working closely with all city and state authorities on everything,” the FAQ reads.

Refunds will be available if Governors Ball 2021 does not take place. In addition, 2020 ticketholders can transfer their tickets to 2021, but are also eligible for refunds.

The 2020 Governors Ball Music Festival was set to take place in June and feature Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala, Stevie Nicks, and more. The festival was canceled in March due to the pandemic. The 2019 Governors Ball was cut slightly short due to bad weather; refunds were offered.
