An alternate version of MF DOOM’s “Dead Bent” music video is getting released as a non-fungible token (NFT). Director Adam Bhala Lough filmed the unreleased version during the same shoot that produced the final version of the Operation: Doomsday visual. He shot the alternate video Kodak 7231 Plus-X negative black and white 16mm film. Lough claims that he and the colorist behind the video’s remaster are the only people ever to have seen the alternate version.

The auction begins tomorrow (April 28) at noon Eastern, and half the proceeds will go to DOOM’s children. The starting price is 99 Ether, which is equivalent to approximately $261,000.

In addition to the NFT, the highest bidder will receive physical items, including the original 16mm film negative, documentation from the shoot, and the original canister label. Watch the original “Dead Bent” video below.
