Afropop artist Mr Eazi has announced a new EP called Something Else. The EP is out February 19 via Mr Eazi’s own Banku Music/emPawa Africa.. Today (January 28), Mr Eazi has shared his new single “The Don,” which appears on the EP. Listen to that below.
“The Don” was produced by Killertunes and E Kelly. “I spent the entire year working on building emPawa Africa and morphing into ‘Don Eazi,’” Mr Eazi said in a press release. “I almost had no time to record. This project was inspired by Kel P and Killertunes, who kept coming to meet me in Accra until I finally recorded ‘The Don.’ That opened the door for me getting back in the studio.”
In addition to Killertunes and E Kelly, Something Else features production from Spellz, Blaq Jerzee, Kel P, and Jaylon, as well as a guest spot from Xenia Manasseh. According to press materials, Mr Eazi is currently working on his upcoming third album, tentatively titled Life is Eazi, Vol. 3.
Last month, Mr Eazi teamed up with J Balvin for their track “Lento.”
