Nathan Salsburg Announces New Album Ipsa Corpora

The experimental guitarist Nathan Salsburg has announced a new album, Ipsa Corpora, that comes out on June 20 via No Quarter. It’s his first fully acoustic solo album since 2018’s Third. See the album cover below.

Ipsa Corpora consists of one 40-minute composition. Salsburg recorded the album in December 2024 with James Elkington at Chicago’s Nada Recording. Elkington mixed the project, and it was eventually mastered by Chuck Johnson at his Oakland, California, studio, Cirrus Oxide.

Salsburg has followed Third with numerous albums, including 2021’s Psalms, a 2024 release with Elkington called All Gist, and, most recently, the Lungfish covers record Hear the Children Sing the Evidence.
