Strictly’s Amy Dowden gives cancer treatment update

Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has issued an update after undergoing surgery as part of her cancer treatment.

The 32-year-old dancer from Caerphilly, South Wales, said “surgery went well” on Instagram.

Ms Dowden, who got married to her partner Ben Jones last year, recently announced she had been diagnosed with cancer.

“Big thanks to my two surgeons and nurses who have been so utterly amazing and looking after me,” she said.

“Very sore but focusing on the positives, they said the surgery went well.
