6000-Lb Diaries: Dr. Now Patients Are Fighting For Their Lives

Lifetime’s 6000-Lb Diaries has the same concept as TLC’s My 600-Lb Life. However, Dr. Now’s patients so far have been struggling with discipline. The previous episode featured the story of Sam. At over 600 pounds, he was already fighting for his life and couldn’t perform any physical activities. He was determined to get his bariatric surgery, but he’s having a hard time letting go of his food addiction. It also appears that Dr. Now will face the same issue with his upcoming patient.

Upcoming Patient Lauren In Desperation

Lifetime recently released a new preview for the upcoming episode of 6000-Lb Diaries. It features the story of Lauren. During the trailer, Lauren revealed that her food addiction resulted in her ballooning to over 600 pounds. She was homebound for 3 years, and she’s on the verge of being bedridden for good. She’s starting to regret her addiction, wondering what she did to herself. She added that she’s “trapped” inside her house and body. Lauren also believes that if she fails with Dr. Now, her life could end at 25 years old. Many fans also showed support for Lauren.

  • “Stop that unnecessary eating.”
  • “I hope she turns her situation around.”
  • “Is she crying with a cup of ice cream in her hand?”
  • “Who is bringing her the food? She’s not going to the grocery store. Stop bringing her food.”
  • “I am no expert by any means but I feel like in these situations where the patient is completely addicted to ultra processed food they need rehabilitation. They can’t be around the substance which is food in this case. They need help from others to navigate the process early on.”
