CAA Talent Agent Trey Cannon Moves To WME

EXCLUSIVE: Trey Cannon, the CAA talent agent that has repped stars including Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Laurence Fishburne, has joined rival WME.

Cannon had been an agent in the motion picture talent department at CAA since December 2019, having joined from Gersh, where he’d spent seven years. At Gersh, he was promoted to agent after two and a half years, in 2015 becoming the company’s youngest agent at the age of 24.

At WME, Cannon will serve as an agent in its talent department led by co-heads Andrew Dunlap and Doug Lucterhand. The group represents stars including current Emmy nominees and Oscar favorites such as Emma Stone, Jeremy Strong, Julianne Moore, Robert Downey Jr., and Jeremy Allen White.

In addition to Henson, Spencer and Fishburne, Cannon has previously worked with stars including Olivia Munn, Edgar Ramirez, Nathan Fillion, Bella Thorne, Lucy Hale, Jurnee Smollett, Rege-Jean Page and Gabrielle Union as well as multi-hyphenates such as Tim McGraw, H.E.R. and Justin Bieber.
