Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2 alum Melody Fernandez is opening up to her followers about her personal struggles with getting sober. She went to Instagram and Facebook to share her story.
For those who may have forgotten, Melody was one of Farmer Ty Ferrell’s final two ladies during Season 2. Ultimately, Ty did not pick either of his final two. He just didn’t feel their connections were strong enough. Truth be told, Ty basically admitted he would have liked to see women his age or older appear on the farm.
In the end, Melody was too much of a city girl and would most likely never be happy on a farm. Megan Lay wanted to have children of her own someday, while Ty did not. He was content with just having his one daughter.
Now, all this time later, Melody is still loving the city life. However, now she’s doing it sober. On Instagram, she shared a video of herself lying in bed and speaking to fans. She began her video by saying that getting your sh*t together is so hard.
Melody went on to say that for the last year, she literally had her head up her *ss. Now, she has been sober for two months. She says it’s incredible how much clearer things are being sober.
Her caption read, “SOBRIETY ! I was going to post when I had a solid 6 months under me but now that I’m going through this journey I really want to share it with you guys 😍🥰 I’ve been absolutely loving sober living …. It saved my life. I’ll be posting more about about this, I’ve learned so much. #protectyourenergy”
She’s Learning To Protect Her Energy
Farmer Wants a Wife alum Melody Fernandez is beginning to open up about her sobriety journey. She revealed she was going to wait until it had been six months, but she really wants to share her experience now.
Melody shared that she’s been somewhat isolated going through her journey. Doing this has allowed her to focus on her own energy and not on everything around her. Instead of worrying about things in the past, she focused on moving forward. The shift in energy has been great for her. She noted she knows she will be so proud when she watches this video back in a few months.
Melody talked of how hard it is to get clean. She also shared she’s still going through the aftermath of that but the clarity she feels is amazing.
