GB News Anchor Eamonn Holmes “Will Address Divorce From Co-Presenter” On TV Show

Popular UK anchor Eamonn Holmes will reportedly use his live TV show on Monday morning to address his marital split from wife and longtime co-presenter Ruth Langsford.

The Sun on Sunday newspaper reported yesterday that it had the exclusive statement from the popular pair, confirming they were to separate after 14 years’ marriage. The statement said:

“Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

The same paper said Sunday that Holmes, who presents the weekly breakfast show on GB News, will address the split to viewers when he appears next on air.

The Sun quoted a source close to Holmes, saying: “Eamonn is always frank on camera and knows it will be odd for him to discuss the day’s news without mentioning his split so he’ll say a few words.”

Holmes and Langsford, who married in 2010, co-presented ITV’s This Morning magazine show for 15 years until 2021. Langsford is also a panellist on ITV’s discussion show Loose Women.

Holmes has been on the UK’s television screens since 1979, working as an anchor for Sky News and sitting on the breakfast sofa for ITV’s GMTV. He moved to GB News in January 2022, where he co-hosts the daily breakfast show with his former Sky colleague Isabel Webster. He has documented health problems which have kept him on and off air in recent months.
