‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ Star Martell Holt Arrested For Misdemeanor Domestic Violence

Longtime Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Martell Holt was arrested today on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said he was booked into its jail for third-degree domestic violence and harassing communications around 4 p.m. local time and released about three hours later.

Deadline has reached out to OWN, which airs the reality series, for comment. The popular unscripted show airs on Saturday nights and recently was renewed for a seventh season. The network said it was the night’s top original non-sports series across broadcast and cable with all key Black demos.

Holt has appeared in all six seasons of Love & Marriage: Huntsville follows the lives of three high-powered Black couples who are longtime friends and come together to revitalize the thriving city of Huntsville, AL, through their joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group. The series launched in early June and has aired nearly 60 episodes.

Holt, who is divorced from his Love & Marriage: Huntsville co-star Melody Holt, also appeared on the most recent season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta and was dating that show’s longtime star Shereé Whitefield.

Per his bio, Holt worked as a teacher and coach before entering the reality field and also is an author and CEO of the Holt Brand.
