Last night (March 26) Travis Scott performed for the first time since the 2021 Astroworld Festival, the tragic November 5 event that led to 10 people’s deaths. According to TMZ and Rolling Stone, Scott performed a very brief set at a private pre-Oscars house party in Bel Air, California. A number of celebrities, such as Leo DiCaprio, Venus and Serena Williams, YG, and Tobey Maguire, were reportedly in attendance. Videos of Scott performing “Sicko Mode” at the event have been circulating since the news surfaced.

Scott has made public appearances since the Astroworld tragedy. In December, he sat for an interview with Charlamagne tha God, where he discussed the emotional aftermath of the festival, and claimed that he was unaware that people were dying during his performance.

Scott is currently facing hundreds of lawsuits stemming from the events that took place at Astroworld. The House Oversight and Reform Committee has also launched an investigation into Live Nation over the 2021 Festival. Earlier this month, Scott announced a new event safety initiative called Project HEAL, structured as a “multi-tier, longterm series of community-focused philanthropy and investment efforts.”
