9 Female Artists You Need To Know Nominated For 2023 BRIT Award

The 2023 Brit Awards are nearly upon us, and while only a few walk away with the coveted sing during the evening, we cannot help but shine a light on all the inspiring talent, especially the female artists.

With the Best Artist category frustratingly being all-male, we want to re-iterate the incredible array of women working hard in the industry and topping the charts. And along with the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Lizzo, this year has seen a whole wave of emerging female artists who have been absolutely killing it on the music scene with their stunning sound and unique artistry.

So, without further ado, let us introduce you to the nine female artists you should know about that are nominated at the 2023 Brit Awards, and you may want to bag a ticket to see them live right now because, soon enough, they’ll be selling out stadium tours.

Mimi Webb (Best New Artist)

Mimi Webb used the pandemic as her time to “really smash it out” after TikTok star Charli D’Amelio brought widespread recognition to her music by using it in one of her TikTok videos. Mimi has since appeared on The Ellen Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon had two singles in the UK Top 15 and is preparing for her upcoming tour. Impressive.

JMEnternational

Gayle (Best International Song)

After signing with Atlantic Records/Arthouse Records, American singer and songwriter Gayle released her hit single ABCDEFU, which went viral on TikTok, reaching number one in the UK on the Billboard Global 200 while also earning her a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year.

Steve Jennings

Eliza Rose (Best Dance Act, Song of the Year)

Dalston born and raised Eliza is an incredibly talented DJ and music producer whose tune B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All) reached number one in September 2022 after being heavily played on the UK festival circuit. This was an impressive feat as the last female DJ to top the UK Singles Chart was Sonique in 2000.
