Glamorous Is New LGBTQ+ Drama Series That Has Taken Over Netflix During Pride Month

Glamorous is the new television series that has taken Netflix by storm since its release.

Firstly, the Jordon Nardino ten-episode series is an LGBTQ+ centred drama that has been released during Pride month, and as its leads, stars Sex and the City icon Kim Cattrall and Miss. Benny, the latter who, recently came out as transgender in a beautiful, candid essay.

While we can tell from the title alone that the show is right up our street, we were delighted to learn that it is centred around the high-profile world of the beauty industry, which truly makes for an entertaining watch.

And it certainly has had people talking, with many declaring it their “favourite show on Netflix in a long time”.

What is the plot of Glamorous?

The official synopsis via Netflix reads: “The soapy workplace drama series stars Miss Benny (they/them) playing a character named Marco Mejia, a young gender nonconforming, queer man whose life seems to be stuck in place. Well, that is until he meets esteemed beauty mogul – and one of his biggest idols – Madolyn Addison while working his day job behind the makeup counter.

“Looking to shake up her prestigious business, Madolyn hires Marco and gives him a seat at the table. This new job is his first chance to figure out what he wants out of life, who he actually is and what it really means for him to be queer.”

It’s safe to say that with a whole host of heavy shows currently airing right now, it’s nice to have something a bit more light-hearted!
