That works out to about $44 per camera, compared with $54.99 for a single unit right now. And two cameras give you enough coverage for common combinations like a front door and driveway, or a backyard and side entrance, without immediately adding another device. Blink also includes the Sync Module Core, batteries, and mounting hardware in the package, so there isn’t much else you need to get started.
Each camera runs on two AA lithium batteries, with Blink estimating up to two years of battery life under typical use and battery-efficient settings—your actual runtime will depend on how often the camera records and the settings you choose. Speaking of, video tops out at 2,560 by 1,440 resolution, and the cameras have a 135-degree diagonal field of view, so one unit should cover a typical porch or driveway without requiring particularly precise placement. You also get two-way audio, motion alerts, and night viewing, so the cameras cover the basics you would expect from an outdoor security setup.

Note that some of Blink’s smarter features, including AI-generated descriptions of recorded events, require a paid plan—and cloud clip storage does, too. Plans start at $3.99 per month for one camera, while AI features cost more, so the ongoing expense can add up if you want the full experience. The cameras also fit best into an Alexa-based home because they work with Alexa and IFTTT but not Apple HomeKit or Google Home, notes this PCMag review. Still, $88 is a pretty reasonable way to cover two important areas of a home with battery-powered 2K cameras.
