Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison Season 2 Set Images Reveal Major Character Returns & Location Change

New photos of The Madison season 2 reveal returning characters and an interesting change of scenery.

Debuting on Paramount+ in March of this year, with Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell in lead roles, The Madison represents a departure for series creator Taylor Sheridan. Rather than the Dutton drama of Yellowstone and its spinoffs or the thriller intrigue of streaming originals such as Lioness and Landman, the show’s initial eight episodes tell the story of how an otherwise functional family deals with a devastating loss.

The premise proved successful. Buoyed by the strong performances of Pfeiffer and Russell, as well as solid supporting turns from the likes of Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, and Rebecca Spence, The Madison has become an already-renewed fan favorite that will continue for at least two more seasons.

Just Jared has shared photos of The Madison season 2 spotlighting Patrick J. Adams, who plays Russell, the son-in-law to Pfeiffer’s lead character Stacy. The star of Suits is mostly seen standing on a sidewalk outside a white building, wearing a gray checked overcoat over a suit, blue shirt, teal tie, and gray scarf. He’s holding a phone in one image, while wearing wireless earbuds, and looks ahead with a focused expression.

The images also highlight Spence, who plays Stacy’s best friend, Liliana. The actor is seen smiling while wearing a black fur-collared coat and carrying a handbag. Interestingly, the filming is taking place in New York City. This is a departure from the Paramount+ Original’s first installment, which used Downtown Fort Worth as a stand-in for scenes that took place in New York City.

There have been conflicting reports of when The Madison season 2 will premiere. So far, Paramount+ has not confirmed a release date or even a release window. It is known that Matthew Fox will not be back as a main cast member. The actor explained that he preferred to have a short stint on a TV series following his long run as one of the leads on Lost.

More broadly, whenever it does make its way back to viewers, The Madison will pick up the story by continuing to examine Stacy’s journey with grief and how it impacts those around her. That will include Russell and Liliana, as well as a bit of a stop in the Big Apple without any workarounds or Fort Worth stand-ins.

The Madison is available to stream on Paramount+.
