Reports previously came out that a former contestant on Survivor had become the subject of an FBI investigation. At the time, various figures had weighed in on the story, including the figure themselves. Since then, the FBI has also issued a statement over the case.
The Case Reportedly Sparked From A Missing Visitation Return Back In Late August
Early reports claimed that a judge had ordered the arrest of the Survivor contestant. She reportedly failed to return her son to his father, who has custody of the child following a weekend visitation back in late August.
In addition, reports claimed that the figure missed court dates. Since then, a representative from the FBI shared that they were investigating what’s going on.

The Daily Mail identified the Survivor alum as Jaime Dugan. She previously appeared on Survivor: China back in 2007, with her ultimately coming in tenth place during her time on the show.
Dugan’s ex-husband, Erik Huffman, expressed concern for his missing son, Harper, who is said to be a teenager. In a statement, Erik shared, “Harper’s safety and well-being is my top priority right now. And getting him back safely is extremely important.” He added, “I truly am concerned about [Dugan’s] mental stability and his safety. I feel like I’ve been working night and day on this.”
Various Figures Have Weighed In On The Case, From Jaime Dugan Herself To An FBI Spokesperson
Erik added, “I’ve made it my own investigation to try to get answers, driving across South Carolina, speaking to various law enforcement. It’s been a logistical nightmare. It’s been stressful and it’s been tough. I’m very worried about my son.”
In a later update to the case, Dugan took to social media, where she made various claims regarding her son. As she shared at the time, “I really didn’t want to have to post this for Harper’s sake… but Harper was molested by his grandmother, Denise Huffman. He was also physically assaulted on multiple occasions by his father. He is seeing a psychiatrist and working through the abuse.”
In regard to her son, Dugan also shared, “Harper did not disclose the abuse to me. He disclosed it to a nurse who was a mandatory reporter. He was subsequently interviewed by police. They confirmed the abuse. There is an active investigation.” At the time, she also claimed that she had not yet been contacted by the FBI.
An Instagram Account Was Later Started To Raise Awareness About The Case
The Daily Mail previously reported that these claims were shared in a court order. For his part, Erik has denied these claims. A judge also reportedly claimed that the allegations were “unfounded.”
In addition, an Instagram account has also been launched to share the story. As it shared, “PLEASE help us in locating this missing child. His name is Harper. He was last seen with his mother (who does not have custody and has fled the state with him). He was last seen in Cayce, SC on 8/30/26. Please reach out here or call local law enforcement with any information.”
In another update, a spokesperson for the FBI has also shared another statement with Entertainment Weekly: “The FBI is aware of the public information regarding Jamie [sic] Dugan and her son, however the FBI does not comment on the existence or nonexistence of any investigation. If the public sees Dugan, they should contact local authorities or 911.”
