Amazon has dropped the price of the Blink Video Doorbell + Outdoor 4 XR bundle to $156.99, down from $479.98—a 67% discount and the lowest price tracked to date, according to price tracking tools. For that price, you get a second-gen video doorbell, six Blink Outdoor 4 cameras, the Sync Module XR, and all the accessories needed to get started, including mounting hardware, batteries, cables, and installation tools.

All the cameras and the doorbell run on AA lithium batteries (so you don’t need to worry about running power cables or hiring someone to install a wired system), and Blink estimates up to two years of life per set—though expect less if your doorbell sees heavy foot traffic or your cameras cover a high-activity area. As for the footage, the video doorbell captures a wider head-to-toe view, making package deliveries easier to monitor, while the Outdoor 4 cameras can watch over driveways, backyards, garages, or side entrances—the included Sync Module XR extends the system’s range considerably, allowing the cameras to be placed farther from the home (up to 400 feet) than many competing battery-powered systems.

What do you think so far?

When motion is detected, you’ll get an alert through the Blink app and can view live footage or communicate through the built-in two-way audio. While the cameras support motion detection out of the box, some of Blink’s more advanced features, including person detection, require a Blink subscription (starts at $11.99/month) after the included 30-day trial expires. The cameras will continue to provide live viewing and basic motion alerts without a subscription, but the notifications become less informative. Video quality is also solid for checking in and reviewing basic motion events, but it doesn’t match the level of detail you’ll find from more expensive wired security systems. Still, for under $160, it’s difficult to find another package that includes a video doorbell, six outdoor cameras, long battery life, and enough coverage to secure most homes right out of the box.
