Former Bachelor star Catherine Giudici has been begging for help amid her son’s heartbreaking diagnosis. She has been reaching out, hoping to get any assistance possible. So, what does she need from her followers? Keep reading for all of the details.
Catherine Giudici Has Been Standing By Her Son
Over the summer, Bachelor alums Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici took their son, Isaiah, to the pediatrician. He had been losing weight, but drinking excessive amounts of water and urinating frequently. Alarms were not raised for the Lowes, given that it was a hot summer, so they did not think much of his thirst. He soon headed to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. It has become a new normal for the family, who have traveled to New York City to meet with specialists. Unfortunately, there is one thing that Catherine was not prepared for and needs some immediate assistance with.

This was the first Halloween that they had to deal with Isaiah’s diabetes, so Catherine had no idea what to do. She reached out to the social media community, which has been immensely supportive. Catherine explained that her son loved Halloween and she just wanted to ensure that it did not “suck.” After all, Isaiah is eight years old, so he is going to want to eat the candy and have fun.
Suggestions as to what Catherine Giudici could do immediately flowed in. Everyone wanted to ensure that her son had the best night and did not miss a beat:
- T1 mom 🙋🏼♀️ Trick or treat as normal. There will be lows from the walking and excitement so use the candy as a treat! Just dose with insulin as needed. No reason to treat it or him any differently.
- Let him eat what he wants and just keep dosing. We like to microdose and just keep correcting as need be! You got this!!!
How It Went
Everyone was so great with Catherine Giudici and encouraged her not to change much. Isaiah should still be able to enjoy the night without having to give up what he loves. The Bachelor family showcased their Halloween costumes, and they looked like they had a blast. In the comments, one person asked how Isaiah did with his first holiday, and Catherine had this to say:
- he did exceptionally well 🥹 I’m so proud of him! First year down!
Hopefully, as the years go on, it will only get easier and more fun. Catherine Giudici did her best, and she should be proud.
